Swamped 12-08-2011

Yes I am aware there are several WordPress sites I manage on Inexistence that are in
need of some updates. Namely theme updates and some code tweaks.

I will be getting to this once the massive amount of computers I’m repairing
dwindles back to something I can manage.

Within this past week alone 5 rather (in sad shape) Windows computers have graced my workstation.
Dead lines on the repairs have really sucked all my administration time away from Inexistence.

So once again when things die down I’ll be back to update your WordPress stuff.
Bare with me it shouldn’t take too long…

Thanks!

Updates 11-14-2011

So I installed z-push-2 from svn tonight.
You should probably re-add your account on your mobile device to pick up the new features.
(ActiveSync 14.0 supported now.)

New roundcubemail svn pull as well tonight.

I also bumped up the max supported connections per ip for imap connections.
Hope you folks are enjoying stuff still.

This is all…

Router Damaged

So late last night we had a storm of epic proportions which caused quite a bit of flooding to occur.
While the server is fine it fried our network router / switch entirely.

I brought over my secondary repeating router to fill in the service gap for now.
We really need to get / replace the current router with a different one as this is only a stopgap solution.

If you are a current user of inexistence and enjoy our services then I please ask you to donate
any amount to help fix this massive issue.

You can use the button below to help out:

Debian + Apache 2 (CVE-2011-1176)

Debian pushed the apache update finally (get to disable the workaround)
apache2 (2.2.16-6+squeeze1) stable-security; urgency=high
* Fix CVE-2011-1176 in apache2-mpm-itk: If NiceValue was set, the default
with no AssignUserID was to run as root:root instead of the default
Apache
user and group. Closes: #618857

So that should close the issue…
Thanks Debian and Apache for the fix!

SSL Certificate Update

So I finally found a solution for pretty much all of our encryption needs
for Inexistence services and such.

StartSSL provides a free SSL certificate service I have enabled all the
hosts that require SSL with new certificates so guess what this means?

No more stupid SSL connection errors no self signed nightmare.

Enjoy your encryption.
PS. If you would like SSL enabled for some reason on your site please
let me know and I’ll see what I can do (and if it’s even justified).
